Man City – Chelsea in St. Louis, May 23th

Busch Stadium will host two of the most storied clubs in the English Premier League this spring, when Manchester City Football Club and Chelsea Football Club play in St. Louis at 7:30 p.m. CT on May 23.

This is the first non-baseball professional sporting event hosted at the ballpark.

Tickets begin at $30 and go on sale at 10 a.m. CT on Tuesday at cardinals.com/Soccer or the Busch Stadium Box Office. There will be a limit of eight tickets per purchase. Cardinals season-ticket holders will have a special presale on Monday.

Manchester City, the 2011-12 Premier League champion, returns to North America for the first time since the summer of 2011 when the club traveled to Los Angeles, Vancouver and San Francisco. A five-time FA Cup winner, Manchester City boasts stars such as Ivorian Yaya Toure, Spaniard David Silva and Argentine Sergio Aguero.

Chelsea has won four Premier League titles and seven FA Cups, as well as two UEFA Cup championships, one UEFA Super Cup and one UEFA Champions League title. In 2012, Chelsea became the first London club to win the Champions League.

The club is led by Spaniards Juan Mata and Fernando Torres, as well as England International and three-time Chelsea Player of the Year Frank Lampard.
