Haris Gogic shot, killed in convenience store robbery

Two brothers who own a south city convenience store were taken to an area hospital after they were shot during an armed robbery.  One of the brothers later died as a result of his injuries.

Police said the shooting happened at Chippewa and Alfred around 11:30 a.m. Friday. The shooter got in an SUV and left the scene.

Police said the 19-year-old victim, identified as Haris Gogic, was shot in the head and later died at the hospital.  His 23-year-old brother was shot in the arm and was in stable condition.

The suspect was described as an African-American man with a dark complexion and slim build, approximately 6 feet tall, late 20s or early 30s, with a mustache and goatee.  He was last seen wearing a grey shirt, grey pants and a grey baseball cap.
